Our Congregation
Provision Church is a multi ethnic and multi generational body of believers. Our people work across dozens of industries and are from all over the country. Most of our members would consider themselves middle class, though socio-economics are varied in our congregation.
This fall, average attendance is around 400 on Sunday mornings, which is over 20% growth year over year.

Mission
Our mission is to be a Christ centered community driven by the joy of the Gospel to make disciples who make disciples. Because of the love we’ve been shown by Jesus, we’re serious about obeying His command to make disciples.
We love to engage Wingate University as a mission field in our community. Students from all over the world and with all kinds of beliefs are just down the road from our church building. We aren’t a “college church” but we are a church that loves making disciples of college students.

Discipleship
Discipleship at Provision Church practically has three stages:
1. Sunday morning worship service. We preach expositionally and exegetically. We sing biblical songs. We pray. It’s most people’s first step in spiritual growth at Provision.
2. LifeGroups and Workshops. LifeGroups consist of 10-20 people that fellowship, discuss the sermon text, and pray together. It’s application and relationship oriented. Workshops are similar in size and lean more towards theological training, while still providing space for creating relationships. Our Students and Kids discipleship would also fall under this stage.
3. DGroups. In the vein of Titus 2, we love for smaller, same gender groups (3-5) to meet regularly to study the Word, develop spiritual disciplines, and hold each other accountable. Groups might use curriculum like Every Man A Warrior or Women of the Word as a starting place for meeting.

History
Provision Church planted in November of 2018. We started meeting in Unionville Elementary School and moved to Hopewell Baptist Church’s legacy campus when COVID closed the schools. In November of 2023, we opened our own campus at 3020 New Salem Rd.
Ministry at Wingate University has been a heart beat for us from the beginning. From that, we were able to begin a residency program to train ministry leaders which prepared us to send out our first church plant to Burlington, NC in the spring of 2023 (Truth Bible Church - recently merged and is now Historic Providence Church).
